In FTW Shares, Missionary, Sharing, Witness Corner

One time we were assigned to go to Taal, Batangas for a mission. But when we are sent out to be there we don’t really have a specific assignment. We don’t have talks, we are not sharers, and we are not even part of the service team that will facilitate that mission. But what they have told us is to just go there.

While we are on our way to Taal, there is only one question in our mind “Why did they send us here?” When we arrived at the venue I was really reflecting on that question. We have nothing to do with that mission. The only thing we can do is to meet our co-missionaries who gave talks and bring them back to Manila. When the recollection ended we decided to go home.

On our way back to Manila we saw a lot of roadworks. In every town and province that we passed through, we encountered traffic jams due to the roadwork that people were doing.

That time we were just really tired and just wanted to go home but we were stuck through a lot of traffic because of these road works that we encountered. But through that experience, the Lord spoke into my heart. I went back to the question, “Why did they send us here” and the answer is so simple. To see the road works, to see the road works that we are doing on the way to Heaven as missionaries. The Lord made me realize that the reason why He sent us there is not to do the work but to see how massive the work that we need to do.

For the whole month of working as a full-time missionary, it made me realize that the work that the Lord entrusted to us is so massive and we will never run out of work simply because the mission never stops. And because the mission continues God will never stop as well on pouring His blessings upon us, He will never stop sustaining us so that we can continue to build the road on the way to heaven.
