Psalm 90:17 “Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us”
As a creative minister, there are numerous times that I didn’t see my craft as my service. I nearly treat it as a chore, as something to be praised upon. I viewed it as an avenue for people to notice how good I am, resulting in an eventual burn out. While doing these things, I’ve never acknowledged that the work of my hands wasn’t truly mine. That I was letting myself bleed for the wrong intentions.
But after this creative camp, the favor of the Lord our God shined upon us. Illuminated the true reason why He instilled the loving flame into my heart. Experiencing a weekend with people who see their passion as something to give back to the Lord inspired me to pour it even more, but with the right purpose. My hands are unworthy but it became open for the Creative Spirit to pray and work for Him. I am Toni Piolo Mota, I was once a slave of praise from the world. But now, there is no other reason for me to pray and work if it is not for the Lord.
