MFC Youth Awards Guidelines

MFC YOUTH AWARDS 2022

Annually, we give honor and recognition to outstanding MFC Youth Servant Leaders, Couple Coordinators and Areas during the MFC Youth Awards Segment on the first day of the World Youth Congress.

The MFC Youth Awards are the highest recognition in the MFC Youth Section. These are presented to young men and women, and particular schools/ campuses/ chapters, for their exceptional leadership and service to the community and to the Church.

Each area is invited to choose outstanding MFC Youth Servant Leaders and Couple Coordinators or MFC Youth Chapter/ Campus/ High School to receive the awards. Any MFC Youth Servant Leader or Couple Coordinator is eligible for nomination.

Awards and Criteria

The MFC Youth Awards are as follows:

Most Inspiring MFC Youth Brother

This award is given to a MFC Youth brother, who is a servant leader of the community. The criteria for nomination:

  1. He is committed to the MFC Youth Covenant of following Christ, building a strong Christian family, being a committed and active MFC Youth member, and witnessing God’s love;
  2. He faithfully attends households, assemblies and trainings whether physical or online.
  3. He is fully involved in planning and implementing pastoral formation within his area;
  4. He has given his all for the sake of the mission;
  5. He is a model student both academically and in living the student lifestyle; and
  6. He faithfully participates in the GIG Program.

Most Inspiring MFC Youth Sister

This award is given to a MFC Youth sister, who is a servant leader of the community. The criteria for nomination:

  1. She is committed to the MFC Youth Covenant of following Christ, building a strong Christian family, being a committed and active MFC Youth member, and witnessing God’s love;
  2. She faithfully attends households, assemblies and trainings whether physical or online.
  3. She is fully involved in planning and implementing pastoral formation within his area;
  4. She has given his all for the sake of the mission;
  5. She is a model student both academically and in living the student lifestyle; and
  6. She faithfully participates in the GIG Program.

Most Inspiring MFC Youth Couple Coordinator

This award is given to a MFC Youth Couple Coordinator. The criteria for nomination:

  1. They are committed to the MFC Youth Covenant of following Christ, building a strong Christian family, being a committed and active MFC Youth member, and witnessing God’s love;
  2. They faithfully attend MFC Youth households, assemblies, community events, and
  3. MFC Youth coordinators trainings whether physical or online
  4. They are fully involved in planning and implementing pastoral formation withintheir area—households, assemblies, trainings;
  5. They support the community’s mission by giving tithes regularly; and
  6. They fully support and promote the GIG Program in their area.

Model Chapter

This award is given to the Chapter through the Chapter Servants and Chapter Couple Coordinators. The criteria for nomination:

  1. The Chapter has servant leaders and couple coordinators who attend households and training whether physical or online
  2. The Chapter conducts regular households, chapter assemblies, and chapter-level trainings whether physical or online
  3. The Chapter has conducted the Basic Pastoral Formation in their area—Youth Camps, Covenant Recollection, Family Enrichment Recollection, Purpose Driven Activity, and Friendship Evangelism Challenge in the past year whether physical or online
  4. The Chapter has conducted Crowd Activities and LCSC Activities in the past year whether physical or online
  5. The Chapter has at least 100 members;
  6. The Chapter has 80% attendance in all their activities; and
  7. The Chapter participates in the GIG Program.

Model Campus

This award is given to the Campus area through the Campus President and Senior Sister. The criteria for nomination:

  1. MFC CAMPUS is a recognized organization in the said school;
  2. The Campus conducts regular households, assemblies/ meetings, and program trainings whether physical or online
  3. The Campus has a complete set of officers, who attend households and program trainings whether physical or online in nature
  4. The Campus has conducted Crowd Activities and LCSC Activities;
  5. The Campus has at least 100 members with at least 4 households; and
  6. The Campus participates in the GIG Program.

Model High School

This award is given to the High School area through the High School President and Vice President. The criteria for nomination:

  1. MFC HIGH is a recognized club and/or organization in the said school;
  2. The High School Club conducts regular households, club assemblies/ meetings, andprogram trainings whether physical or online
  3. The High School Club has a complete set of officers, who attends households and programtrainings;
  4. The High School Club has conducted Crowd Activities and LCSC Activities;
  5. The High School Club has at least 30 active club members; and
  6. The High School Club participates in the GIG Program.

MFC YOUTH SOCIAL MEDIA AWARDS

● BEST FACEBOOK PAGE
This award is given to the area that fully maximizes their Facebook Page as a means of evangelization and as a tool to provide their members and its followers with engaging, interactive, inspiring, affirming, and creative content.

● BEST TWITTER
This award is given to the area that have effectively used Twitter to promote, affirm and relay God’s love to their Twitter audience.

● BEST INSTAGRAM
This award is given to the area that utilizes an active Instagram area account to deliver God’s message of mercy and hope. They contain creative posts and beautiful images that are in line with the identity and branding of MFC Youth.

● SOCIAL MEDIA: UNSTOPPABLE AWARD OF THE YEAR
This award will be given to the area who best responded to the call of creative evangelization in online social platforms, and has significantly produced engaging, inspiring, affirming and Godly content that is in line with the identity and branding of MFC Youth.

The criteria for judging are as follows:

  1. CONTENT IMPACT (30%) – Nominee’s contribution to awareness of social issues and important matters of society and the Church. Nominee’s success in engaging with the audiences and bringing positive change. Content must cover relevant societal affairs, significant Catholic and social teachings, announcements or support on parochial or organizational activities.
  2. INNOVATIVE PRACTICE AND UNIQUENESS (25%) – Improvements and developments the nominees have brought in their own fields, especially their techniques or processes, which are considered unique or innovative in the social media network.
    1. Supports a cause/advocacy of the church – the idea must support a value, principle, theme, or initiative being carried out by the Catholic church
    2. New and digital way of doing things for the community – key element is transforming traditional into a digital way of executing things
  3. CONTENT RELEVANCE (20%) Nominee’s content must be relevant to Catholic and social teachings or services and must either be educational or informative.
  4. RESPONSIVENESS (15%) – Nominee’s audience interaction on their pages, websites, or other social media platforms such as comments, shares, stories and reactions.
  5. FOLLOWING, SUPPORTERS, AND ENGAGEMENT RATE (5% ) – Nominee’s garnered a percentage of engagement from their target audience and a growing number of following. This also includes a number of comments, shares, statistics, and reviews.
  6. COPYRIGHT PROTECTION (5%) Nominee’s post should be original with no intellectual property copyright and plagiarism issues (i.e., articles, photos, music, etc). If posts are using unoriginal photos and/or articles, the nominee should have proper citations and disclaimers about its license and use.

Nomination Process

  1. Any MFC Youth Member or Couple Coordinator is allowed to give his/her nomination.
  2. Nomination forms must be completely filled out and e-mailed to: mfcyouthawards2022@gmail.com with the subject: “MFC Youth AWARDS 2022NOMINATION”, on or before July 10, 2022.
  3. Every MFC Youth member is eligible to nominate.
  4. One nomination form shall be filled out for every nominee.

Recognition

The winners will be announced during the MFC Youth Awards Segment on the first day of the World Youth Congress, which will be led by our National Section Coordinator.
