November 8, 2013. It was a Friday when the supertyphoon Yolanda (International name: Haiyan) made its landfall to the Philippines, particularly at Tacloban.
The place, as people would call it, is now “devastated”. We have seen and heard in the news what is happening now in the places that have been strucked by Yolanda.
What our eyes have seen and ears have heard, have moved our hearts. And so we act.
Relief Operations in Manila . . .
Our YFLs joining the packing of the relief goods. YFL households giving financial assistance to our brethren in Visayas.
Relief Operations in Leyte . . .
Two of our YFL fulltime missionary brothers, Kuya Rj Moriones and Kuya Julius Eguia, together with other fulltime missionaries, went to Leyte to help our brothers affected by the typhoon.

We have helped in our own youthful way to our brothers and sisters in Yolanda. And the help we have given has helped us back on how we are to value our lives. As Pope Francis have said, “The one who transmits joy receives joy. The one who evangelize gets evangelized.”
We would like to share with you an inspiring video of one of our brothers who survived the supertyphoon. (If the video does not work, click here.)
May our desire to bring hope to our affected brethren, may in turn ignite the hope that is in us, which is in Christ Jesus, our Lord.
