Mercy, Faithfulness, and Victory. This is what Tito Frank emphasizes in this episode of Built on Rock. It is very timely because just recently, I had met up with the support group that I joined and we talked about how to fight the lies that are surrounding us.
The Lord had done so many things for us. This is true from the very beginning when He made the earth and all the creatures who live in it, including us. Including humanity. But because of our sinfulness, we tend to forget all the marvelous things that He has done for us. We are surrounded by so many lies, we focus on the wounds that we have in our hearts, wounds that have accumulated from birth to now. To the point that it clouds our heart to feel the compassion, He has for us. When we cannot fully receive His love, we cannot fully love the Lord. We have to remember the truths about who He is. And that He is merciful, faithful and victorious.
God is a God of mercy. He always forgives us because He loves us. His mercy outweighs all the lies that are surrounding us. If He is offering His love to you every single day by reaching out to you, take His hands and believe that what matters to Him is your present heart. A line that was said by the moderator of our small group really struck my heart, she said, “ God will pour in most love in the part of your life that needs connection. Be connected to Him.
God is a faithful God. He also believes in our capacity. He never put a period in our journey. He believes in our ability to rise above from this life of sinfulness. Even if we run away from Him a lot of times, He is always ready to embrace us in our return. Remember that even before we put our faith in Him, He already puts His faith in us. He sacrifices Himself for our salvation. That’s why He is calling us to believe in ourselves as well.
God is a God of victory. The moment He ascended, the war had already been won by love. Cling on to that. He is undefeated and we need to hold firm to that truth that He already defeated death. God wants our victory more than we do for ourselves.
Every time we are drowned with lies that the world is throwing at us, remember the truth about God. That He is merciful, faithful and victorious. This is His wonders, may we praise Him every single day. Amen.
