Ozamiz City — Northern Mindanao Limitless Youthfest 2013. Despite numerous struggles and difficulties, God once again proved his limitless love in the YFL Northern Mindanao’s Youthfest held last October 26, 2013 at Ozamiz National High School. Attended by around 60 members, the event was made more intimate and personal for the District of Ozamis.
Starting off the event, Allan Sy of the District of San Pablo gave a stimulating worship followed by an inspiring opening remark from Tito Domeng of CFC FFL. Cheers from the different vicariates were hollered as the emcees gave a roll call and rallied the crowd with the Wildfire chant.
Kuya Deyo Caiga, Mission Volunteer assigned in Mindanao, gave the first session, which imparted how limitless God is and how He can change our lives. That our lives become limitless as well as the way we deal with ourselves, with other people, and with the life circumstances that are happening with in us. Sharing their experiences with our limitless God were Corienne Gillamac of Ozamis and Luvi Joquico of Campus-based.
The afternoon line-up was opened with a worship led by Ozamiz’ District Servant, Bing Marata, followed by a series of workshops such as the Cool Catholics workshop for general members led by Allan Sy and a Worship workshop by Kuya Jocas Javier of Antipolo. Other workshops include the Friendship Evangelization Challenge discussed by Jammie Hollon and Pastoral Care Workshop by Kuya Deyo Caiga.
Full time pastoral worker, Ate Sweet Roque, conveyed the second session discussing our limitations and restrictions and how our lives would be without God’s limitless faith and mercy. Sharing a very personal experience was Nicole Brown of Lipa. The program ended with an inspirational worship led by Kuya Jocas Javier. The Holy Eucharist is then celebrated.
Capping off the program was a Wildfire chant dance-off as for a chance to win Limitless Youthfest T-shirts for its top 5 members.
Our faith never ends as we live out our lives and continue believe in our limitless God because through Him, anything is possible.
