According to the physiology of our body pain is classified as a stimulus; a factor that will initiate a signal to the brain and will associate a process regarding to the concern of discomfort. With this course, our body will make a response to it. For example, if we accidentally hold a hot kettle, the pain receptor in our body called Nociceptors will be triggered by the increased
temperature of the kettle. This will signal the nervous system to initiate a response using the muscles in our hands to immediately let go of that material, preventing further damage or burn. Pain is essential in our physiology because it keeps us away from any possible further damage. It is important in our design.
The world that we live in is full of things that can hurt us, most of them are inevitable but pain can be a tool, a compass for ourselves to not be lost and trapped in any further damage. Because pain is that bothersome message hinting that something is wrong and more importantly, that there is a need to take action.
Love has saved the world through Christ and it is only through Him that our pain can be subjected to have meaning. The profound love can bloom into the hope that someday everything will be alright. Pain cannot end with pain because God designed pain to be ended by being healed. Pain is subject to healing that is why we need God to plant Hope in our hearts for us to endure and to complete the process of love.
