España Boulevard, Manila. — A youth catechesis was held last October 18, 2013, during the second day of the Philippine Conference on New Evangelization (PCNE) at the University of Santo Tomas.

Around 3,000 students from public schools and member-schools of the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) participated. Almost fifty youth volunteers from CFC FFL served as lead facilitators in these catechetical sessions.

The youth catechesis aimed to inspire the youth to renew their relationship with Jesus and to strengthen their commitment as Catholics.

During the catechesis proper, the youth participated in the sharing of  their faith experiences and in the proclamation of faith statements. The whole activity ended with a concert which was a celebration of faith in music. The concert was held at the UST Quadricentennial Pavillion.

It was a true privilege for our young Fulltime Pastoral Workers and Mission Volunteers from CFC SFL, YFL, KFL, Live Pure, FLiQ Media, and Work With the Poor to have been given this beautiful opportunity to serve the youth and the Church through the PCNE. They were able to share their own faith experiences and proclaim their faith to their fellow young Catholics.  Through this event, the young Catholics were empowered to take on the challenge of proclaiming and sharing their faith and responding to the call of new evangelization.
