Even though PAGASA declared a great chance of rainfall over the Cainta-Taytay area last October 12, 2013, that did not stop the shower of blessings the YFL members there were about to receive. For the first time ever in the District of Antipolo, through God’s grace, a successful Movie Screening of the Sony Pictures animated film “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2” was held at the Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall. More than 200 people attended the event.

“Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2” revolves around the story preceded by its first film, where the protagonist Flint Lockwood has created a world full of living food. In this installment the Live Corporation, led by Chester (Flint’s “idol”) wanted to take over this lush world. Chester lured Flint into thinking that the food creatures were “bad,” making him leave his friends and venture with Chester alone. It ended up with Chester taking control of the machine Flint created, but was stopped by the cute strawberry “Berry.” All ended well when Berry helped free all the kidnapped food creatures and left Chester where he deserves.

The event was a strong collaboration between the different families and ministries of CFC-FFL in the Cainta-Taytay area. Aside from the movie, all 200+ guests were treated to freebies from Coca-Cola, C2, Monde, Lucky Me and Dutch Mill. All proceeds from the movie screening will go to funding the members there of their WYC, Camp, and other event expenses. The organizing committee extends their sincerest gratitude to all those who supported the event, and are looking forward to having more projects like this in the future.
