In MV Speaks, Sharing, Witness Corner

Attending the recent Servant Leaders’ Summit was more than just a gathering—it was a life-changing experience. After the event, I can’t help but to simply pray, “Thank you, Jesus!” Let me share three reasons why I am grateful for the summit:

Spirit-led Worships

The summit provided an extraordinary opportunity to encounter Christ in a powerful and tangible way. The worship experience was beyond words. It really left me in awe of God’s presence. There was a moment during the worship when I opened my eyes and saw a sea of young faces with their hands raised up, all eager to serve God and dedicate their lives to Him. The oneness in worship was a testament to the vibrancy of faith present in the room. It was during this precious moment that tears streamed down my face, and I felt a deep affirmation from God—He is truly alive and actively at work in the lives of those gathered.

Note: Needless to say, our initial program spoke volumes already as we commenced by praying the rosary and by celebrating the Holy Eucharist (the highest form of worship).

 Sense of Community

What a joy to be surrounded by people who are all out for God! Attending the summit reminded me of what a great blessing the community is to my life. The warmth and love we find in MFC Youth are truly like no other. Throughout the event, every person I encountered wore a smile, ready to greet and engage in meaningful conversations. The sense of belongingness and camaraderie was evident, making me so thankful to God for leading me to such a community.

Bonus: When people gather in a circle, sitting, chatting, playing, and sharing laughter like little children, you can bet Lucho (if you know, you know *winks*) is right there with them! It highlights the contagious joy that permeates the community.

God is Unchanging

The summit wasn’t just a gathering of servant leaders; it was an affirmation of the unchanging nature of God. Gratitude overflowed in my heart as I reflected on the goodness, faithfulness, and constancy of our Creator. The session resonated with the truth that God’s love is uncontainable. The reminder that we are embraced by God’s love, even when we falter, fumble, stumble, or try to run away, struck a chord within me. It became clear that nothing we do can alter God’s unchanging love for us. In His eyes, we are eternally held in the fullness of His love, no matter our shortcomings.

The Servant Leaders Summit was a transformative experience that left an indelible mark on my heart. Through encounters with Christ, a sense of community, and a deeper understanding of God’s unchanging nature, I found myself overwhelmed with gratitude. This event served as a powerful reminder of the living God we serve and the uncontainable love that holds us in His embrace. Thank you, Jesus!
