Before SHOUT, doubt and fear ang una kong naramdamannung na-tap ako as a Campus Servant ng YFL-PUP. Wala kasitalaga sa plano ko ang lumipat ng service at sobrang natatakotlang ako in failing my expectations for my own.
During SHOUT, maraming realizations ang nag-come up sa isip ko. First, is the value of sisterhood and family. In 6 days, nabuo ang closeness and bond naming mga Campus sisters. Walang humpay na kulitan at tawanan, sharing our thoughts all day and doing the everyday’s household chores together sa SHOUT house.
Through SHOUT, I realized that truly, sa bahaytalaga unang nabubuo ang LOVE with our family. My most memorable part of my SHOUT experience is the PARENTS’ NIGHT. Wherein, kasama ko kumain, magworship and makinig ng sharings and talk ang family ko, together with my co-YFLs. That moment was very memorable to me because for the first time, na-lead ko ang family ko sa isang prayer and God was just so powerful that He touched my family’s heart through me. Ang ibalik ang puso nila sa Panginoon ang pinakamasayang part ng gabing ‘yon. Date marked, May 5, 2013.
Second, the importance of prayer time. Sobrang sarap lang sa feeling na sisimulan mo ang umaga na kausap mo ang Panginoon. Thanking Him for all of the blessings He had given. Ang significance ng prayer time is to make the day a Christ-centered one, na alam mo lang na guided ka ng Holy Spirit sa lahat ng gagawin mo and as a servant of God, your prayer time will serve as your strength and inspiration for the whole day.
And last but not the least, I just realized that there’s nothing to doubt sa calling ni Lord sa akin as a Campus Servant. My “yes” is the change that God wants me to have and that “yes” is simply taking the path where God wants to put me in.
God had loved me so much. Now, it’s my turn to give back. I am ready to deny myself and take up His cross daily, to abandon all of my doubts and fears for the sake of His call and lastly, I am ready to spread out His love and my faith is now ready to set my campus on fire!
