Last October 18, we celebrate the feast day of St. Luke the Evangelist and indeed that day signifies a great message of love and grace to me. Over the past weeks the Lord allowed me to realize things and assessed how HE became real in my life and how I become a channel of His features to others as well.
I and my family had the privileged to be visited by the nuns and postulants who happened to be my batch mates before in the Holy Face Convent and how I praised and thanked the Lord for the blessing of just being with them once more, getting life lessons with them and joining them in the work of just sharing the blessing of knowing that the Holy Face of Jesus is not just an image, but a life to be carved in the hearts of people.
This week also is a reminder for me that through God’s perfect love and grace we are able to forgive, be forgiven, healed and moved forward in the works of the Lord in our lives and in the lives of everyone. As my favorite companion saint, St. Therese of the Child Jesus and of the Holy Face would say, “Love is everything. It embraces all places and all times” I would want to add, that because of love, we are also capable [of] embracing people in spite and despite of our own humanity and individuality.
